Event Coordinator Needed!

Posted on Oct 22 2017 - 10:44pm

Event Coordinator needed for upcoming event!
As you know, the pack organizes many events througout the year.  Each event needs an adult that will cordinate the details such as
presenting the event to the pack, calling the venue to get the informaiton and make the arrangement for the pack. They also are
responsible for collecting and recording all funds and keeping an accurate list of attendees.  This person will assure that all  of the required
accomindations are secured in a timely manner on behalf of those attending.  It sounds like alot and in some cases, it is.  However most
do not really involve much time and effort.  The bigger events such as the Pinewood Derby and Blue and Gold are divided up amongst many
people to spread the work around.

At the October pack meeting, a potential event was presented.  A Pack Overnighter at the Hershey Bears for their scout night.  They are a fantasic AHL team based in Hershey Pennsylvania. The serve as the primary development team for the NHL's Washington Capitals.

This event includes the game Friday night, ice skating, games, and a movie on the jumbo screen.  There is a breakfast served the following morning as well.  There are more details to provide, but without a cordinator this event will not happen.   If you are interested in helping out, please contact John who will give you the information about the event and what you will need to do.

The pack runs totally on parental support.  Without that, there is no pack.  If you have ever thought about helping out, but not sure how this is your chance.

Thank you!

Why Be a Scout?

  Why Be a Scout?
There are so many reasons!  Cub Scouts have great age appropriate adventures while learning skills that will help them later in life.  It is for families from all walks of life.  They get to have the thrill of shooting an arrow and hitting the target or the satisfaction turning a block of wood into a race car and see it run down the track.  From camping with friends to hiking in the woods, from model rockets to fishing, cub scouts have lots of fun!

We are chartered by Kings Highway Elementary school, located at 841 W Kings Highway, Coatsville PA 19320. Want to learn more about pack 133 and what Cub Scouts do? Send an email to our Cubmaster Adam at cubmaster@cubscoutpack133.org
(By the way, your son does not have to attend Kings Highway to sign up with Pack 133.)
